GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – Even weather conditions need a three-day weekend, it seems.
Such is the case along part of the Lakeshore, for after three straight days without a caution, the National Weather Service office in Grand Rapids has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Ottawa and six other counties, but not for Allegan county. Forecasters say that, from 1 AM to 2 PM on Tuesday, two to four inches of snow should accumulate, mixing with sleet and freezing rain before turning into all rain by mid-morning. Some blowing snow is also expected until temperatures rise above freezing, reducing visibility at times for motorists, and roads can become slippery.
Several inches of snow with cold temperatures and wind chills around zero lingered along the Lakeshore over a 60-hour span, from Wednesday morning through Friday afternoon, in the most recent winter advisory for this area last week.
