HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Holland Rescue Mission is at full capacity and always in need of monetary donations and specific items for their Men’s and Women’s Ministry Centers.
Right now The Men’s Ministry located at 166 S. River Ave in Holland is in need of white t-shirts sizes M-XXL, toiletries such as lotion and deodorant. The Women’s Ministry Center is in need of heavy duty women’s gloves. They are located at 356 Fairbanks Avenue in Holland.
Donations are also needed for the Gateway Center’s Thrift Store that is slated to open in this spring. The thrift store will be the largest of it’s kind in the area with 27,000 square feet says the Anna Southwell, Volunteer/Event Coordinator for the Mission. Items such as clothing, accessories, furniture, household items and more are needed.
” Not only will be it a donation center, we’ll have an online sales store where not only will the Mission be selling items, but consignment will be offered to the community. In the back of the building will be a 40,000 square foot training facility for students in the Gateway Academy. The Academy is 48 week program that will offer life coaching and on the job training for individuals who have just come out of homelessness or struggle with some sort of life controlling addiction.”
The Gateway Academy and Donation Center is located at 661 East 24th Street in Holland.
