HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Holland Museum is experiencing some changes.
The museum’s Executive Director Chris Shires has taken a position as Director of the Gilmore Car Museum in Kalamazoo. In the coming weeks the museum will announce their interim director.
The museum is now operating under their winter hours which means they are now open Wednesday through Saturday 11-4 p.m. and closed on Sundays.
Rachel Syens, Volunteer and Tour Coordinator says they need volunteers.
” Anyone who is passionate about history, art of the history of Holland, we would love to have you at the Museum. It’s a great opportunity to share your passions with our visitors. We’re looking for docents, volunteers for special events and school tours as well.”
Opening January 26th is “He That Lendth to the Poor. “A series of 20 photographs taken by Hope College students who spent time in Holland and Grand Rapids meeting and learning with the homeless population with hopes to raise community awareness and support for local organizations that support the homeless.
The Holland Museum is located at the corner of 10th Street and River Avenue, across from Centennial Park.
