LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Driving in the left lane of the highway in Michigan is meant only for passing vehicles on your right.
A bill is before the Michigan House going after drivers who stay in the left lane in the highway without passing anyone.
Representative Robert Kosowski of the Detroit suburb of Westland is sponsoring the bill. The measure which requires people to move to the right if other drivers are coming up behind them at a higher rate of speed.
The bill does not establish any penalties for not moving over, however.
