HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Crazy Horse SteakHouse in Holland is holding a fundraiser for a local family in need.
The Adams family of Zeeland is in need of the communities support as they are facing a health crisis and medical bills are mounting.
According to the press release, Jennifer Adams and her three-year-old son have been diagnosed with Lyme disease. Treatment for the disease is not covered by the family’s insurance and they are responsible for all expenses including traveling to receive it. Both Jennifer and her son also suffer from kidney, lung and heart trouble. Due to lack of funds, both have had to miss several treatments. The Adam’s nine-year-old adopted daughter from Haiti also has a serious condition with malignant tumors in her spine.
In August the family put their home up for sale to pay for treatment and it was declared a total loss due to a fire.
Heather Langinga of Crazy Horse Steakhouse says they are no stranger to fundraisers. Several years ago a regular customer pinned a dollar bill on the wall and others starting doing the same. It took off and the next thing they knew there were all these these dollar bills on the wall, so they decided to do a local fundraiser every Tuesday.
On Tuesday, January 31, a portion of your bill will go towards the Adams family with other opportunities to donate as well. “People will have the opportunity to donate directly in a jar will will have set up and then they can enjoy dinner and hang out. A portion of their bill will go towards the family and the dollar bills on the wall will be coming down and donated to the Adam’s family.”
The fundraiser for the Adams family of Zeeland is from 4-9 p.m. At Crazy Horse Steakhouse located at 2027 North Park Drive in Holland.
