ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – Now it’s Zeeland’s turn.
Two days after the Holland City Council huddled with City Manager Ryan Cotton and his departmental leaders, formulating a list of priorities that Cotton can use as a gauge for drawing up a budget for Fiscal 2018, Mayor Kevin Klynstra and his fellow Zeeland City Council members go through a “goal-setting” session this evening aimed at devising a municipal 12-month-long spending plan that begins on July 1st. “We go over what we’ve done in the past year, if we met our goals, and then set some new ones,” Klynstra explained. “The staff looks at that, they see how much money we have to spend and see what we can do.”
Just as in Holland, a May vote on a new financial blueprint is slated in Zeeland. Tonight’s goal-setting session begins at 5 PM at Zeeland City Hall.
