HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A day filled with workshops on how to better save and spend your money is coming to Holland.
Show Me The Money Day in Holland is hosted by Community Action House in Holland. The day will be filled with workshops on extreme couponing, home buying. student financial aid, landlord and tenant rights and energy efficiency.
Community Action House in Holland has been helping families prosper since 1969. Meagan Maas is a housing case manager and says they provide basic needs like food clothing and shelter but they also take it a step further. They provide opportunities for families to build the necessary skills that they need to achieve a stable and prosperous life.
“These are things we all want. We have lots of programs and services that focus on doing that. We’re really excited about our EPIC Empowerment Programs. The program is more intense and quite a committment. They learn how to be empowered in their everyday life which effects their personal life, theirprofessional life and all of those things.
The free event will also give you a chance to win prizes like a $25 Meijer gift card. It takes place at Holland Early College located at 45 E 25th Street from 12:30- 4 p.m. On Saturday, February 18.
