OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 12, 2022) – Ottawa County government announced two appointments on Tuesday.
Clerk/Register of Deeds Justin Roebuck has tabbed Renee Kuiper as his Chief Deputy County Clerk. She was in the 20th Circuit Court Records Division for nine years, and helped establish a pilot program for the state’s Judiciary Electronic Filing System. Kuiper is also the Site Emergency Coordinator for the Grand Haven Courthouse facility. She replaces Sherri Sayles, who retired last December after 33 years of service for the county.
Meanwhile, Nichole Jongsma Derks takes over as the county’s Public Defender, earning a promotion from First Assistant Public Defender, a position she had held for three years. She replaces Robert Hamilton, who retired earlier in 2022.
