HUDSONVILLE, MI (WHTC) – A three-vehicle chain reaction crash has injured a Grandville woman, her children and a Jenison woman.
The took place during the afternoon commute in Hudsonville at 32nd Avenue just north of Corporate Grove Drive around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday evening, February 22.
Sgt. Kristi Wendt of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says the semi tractor trailer crash earlier on I-196 had traffic extremely congested and traffic was being re-routed when the crashes occurred.
Investigation shows that 40-year-old Judith Lambert of Wayland was northbound on 32nd Avenue and was stopped in traffic in the left lane. 30-year-old Kent Snyder of Jenison was behind her when 33-year-old Stephanie Nagelkirk could not stop in time and hit Snyder’s vehicle. Snyder then crashed into Lambert’s vehicle.
Nagelkirk and her three minor passengers were injured and sought treatment on their own. Snyder’s front-seat passenger 28-year-old Emily Snyder was injured and transported to Zeeland Community Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Lambert was not injured in the crash and Nagelkirk was cited for not being able to stop in an assured clear distance causing the crash.
