HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Hope College Men’s Basketball team will host Wisconsin-Oshkosh in NAAC Tournament action this weekend at Devos Fieldhouse.
On Friday, March 3, Washington-St. Louis will take on Ripon, Wisconsin at 5:30 p.m. and then Hope will play Wisconsin-St. Louis at 7:30 p.m and the Lakeshore’s 927 The Van will air that Hope game starting at 7:10 p.m. Head coach Greg Mitchell has led the Flying Dutchmen to two NCAA Tournament appearances in his three seasons.
The tournament brings lots of people to town and that’s good news for the Holland Visitor’s Bureau says Executive Director Sally Laukitis.
“It’s always a nice bonus for us and a great way to showcase the community. We’ll have a table out at Devos Fieldhouse with maps, visitors guides and information. It’s a great way to showcase everythign we have going on.”
Friday’s winners will play a second-round game Saturday at 7 p.m. to determine who advances to sectionals on March 10-11. Four teams will advance to the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Championship March 17-18 in Salem, Virginia.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 18 and under. No passes will be accepted. All seating will be general admission within designated sections.
