OLIVE TWP, MI (WHTC) – A Holland man is in critical condition after crashing his dirt bike Saturday morning.
Sgt. Bob Ruster of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched around 9:40 a.m. to 128th Avenue just north of New Holland Street. Ruster says 30-year-old Jose Garcia-Marmolejoh was riding a 2006 Yamaha YZ 450 dirt bike “carelessly” northbound on 120th Avenue when he crashed in the middle of the roadway.
Garcia-Marmolejoh was not wearing a helmet and suffered a serious head injury, along with a serious leg injury. He was transported to Spectrum Hospital by AMR Ambulance where he is listed in critical condition.
The incident will remain under investigation.
