HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Get your fill of sports this weekend in Holland.
The Hope Flying Dutchmen’s game with visiting Hanover in a NCAA Division Three men’s basketball tournament sectional semifinal from DeVos Fieldhouse is Saturday night.
Also on Saturday the MHSSA Division 3 Swim and Diving takes place at Holland Community Aquatics Center.
At The Edge Ice Arena it’s the Great Lakes Spring Classic II with over 12 hockey teams competing.
Executive Director of the Holland visitors Bureau Sally Laukitis says it’s good for business.
“My staff will be up and down 8th Street and will visit all of the hotels with signs welcoming all the sporting events. We always like to do that. Make people feel special. These are the kinds of things that we love to see and that sustain us. What typically is a little bit of a slower time, our corporate business is always really really good, but if we can get lots of visitors for lot’s of different reasons, it’s fabulous.”
