ALLENDALE TWP, MI (WHTC) – A two-vehicle crash has a 19-year-old Grand Valley State University student in stable condition.
Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched around 12:10 a.m. Thursday, March 16, to 48th Avenue and Pierce in Allendale Township. Sgt. Matt Wilfong says Natalie Becker of White Lake was driving a 2010 Ford Focus west on Pierce and stopped at the blinking light and proceeded through the intersection. Becker then pulled out in front of 23-year-old Marcus Johns of Oak Park who was northbound on 48th Avenue. His 2017 Chevy Equinox was unable to avoid a collision.
Becker who was wearing her seat belt, was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Johns who is also a student at GVSU was not injured in the crash.
