HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The City of Holland has been selected as a National Award Winner in the 33rd Annual National Night Out.
Holland’s National Night Out 2016 was in August at Kollen Park. It featured a community wide block party with music, kids games, crime prevention and safety. Detroit Tiger Dave Rozema was on hand as a guest of LAUP (Latin Americans United for Progress). At dusk residents watched the movie “Star Wars-The Force Awakens.”
Last year’s campaign had 38.5 million neighbors across over 16,000 communities from all 50 states participating. All National Night Out award winners are posted on the website and Holland was featured in the NewSpirit newsletter.
It’s the 25th time Holland has participated and the City of Holland thanks the organizing committee and Public Safety officers, volunteers, donors and the organizations for their effort.
This year’s National Night Out will be held on August 1 at Kollen Park.
