HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Holland Hospital Breast Care Services has received full accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons.
Accreditation is granted after a rigorous evaluation process and review of performance in order to ensure centers are committed to provide the highest level of quality patient-centered breast care services. “
NAPBC designation requires value-based high quality in services such as:
A multidisciplinary, team approach to coordinate the best care and treatment options for patients.
Access to breast cancer-related information, education, and support.
Ongoing monitoring and improvement of care.
Breast cancer data collection and monitoring of quality care.
The NAPBC is a consortium of professional organizations dedicated to the improvement of the quality of care and monitoring of outcomes of patients with diseases of the breast. This mission is pursued through standardsetting, scientific validation, and patient and professional education. Its board membership includes professionals from 20 national organizations that reflect the full spectrum of breast care.
