LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Al Vanderberg has another thing put onto his proverbial plate, thanks to Rick Snyder.
The Ottawa County Administrator was appointed to a three-year term on the Child Lead Exposure Elimination Commission. The 15-member panel, established through an executive order signed by the Governor on Thursday, was a recommendation made through a blue-ribbon Elimination Board that will focus on implementation of the board’s recommendations and monitor the state’s efforts to eliminate lead exposure in children. This board was created in the aftermath of the Flint Water Crisis.
Vanderberg will represent local government on the Commission.
