Saugatuck Twp, MI (WHTC) – The Saugatuck Township Planning Commission needs more time to decide whether or not to let a construction company build homes on the Saugatuck Dunes.
The construction company Cottage Home is looking to build to build condominiums, single-family homes, and a private marina on its dune-filled plot of land on the Kalamazoo River.
Those critical of the plan say it will be bad for the natural landscape and in turn will be bad for tourism
For years there has been debate on whether or not to develop the land. The zoning board will meet again on this issue next month.
