DORR TWP. MI (WHTC) – A 60-year-old man was found dead inside of a vehicle that caught on fire just after 12 Midnight on Sunday off of a road near Dorr.
First responders were initially called to the scene in the area around 138th Avenue and 24th Street on a report of a loud bonfire. However, a resident later told Central Dispatch that this was a single-vehicle crash with the vehicle ablaze.
Once crews were able to bring the flames under control, a single occupant was found inside, identified as Robert Martin Miklusicak. According to Allegan County Sheriff’s Captain Chris Kuhn, “It appears as though Mr. Miklusicak was southbound on 24th Street and did not stop at the stop sign at the T-intersection of 138th Avenue. The vehicle went off thre roadway and struck a large tree. The vehicle flipped multiple times before coming to rest and catching fire.”
It was not immediately know if alcohol was a factor as the crash remains under investigation.
