COMSTOCK PARK, MI (WHTC) – The West Michigan Whitecaps Open Workout for Wednesday evening has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
The team is scheduled to workout at Elite Baseball in Grand Rapids from 3:30-5:00 p.m. today but that is reserved for media interviews, photos reporting.
The Whitecaps’ 24th opening day is set for Thursday, April 6, at 6:35 p.m. against the South Bend Cubs. Hear the game on 1450 WHTC and The New 99 7 FM.
The first 1,200 fans through the gates will receive a Whitecaps Alpine Hat courtesy of Fifth Third Bank. Post-game Family Fare Fireworks will conclude the opening day celebration.
