HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The first phase of reconstruction on Holland’s South Shore Drive is set to begin on Monday, April 17.
The South Shore Drive Reconstruction project is a joint project between Holland Board of Public Works (HBPW) and the City of Holland. The project will include water main work, sanitary and storm sewer work, ADA sidewalk ramps and reconstruction of the roadway.
The first phase will include South Shore drive between Old Orchard and Myrtle Avenue. Through Wednesday, April 19, there will be limited lane closures as Holland Board of Public Works subcontractor Insituform will be lining their sanitary sewer main.
On Thursday, April 20, South Shore Drive will be fully closed to through traffic between Old Orchard Road and Myrtle Avenue.
Motorists will be required to detour around the construction zone via 32nd Avenue.
The project will be completed in several phases throughout the spring and summer months. The Holland Board of Public Works website will provide project updates and more information.
