HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Lots of Fun Easter and Earth Day activities scheduled for this week along the Lakeshore!
4/16 Sunday: Easter Parade in Downtown Douglas- Spend Easter Sunday in Downtown Douglas with the Easter Bunny hunting for candy. Festivities begin with the Easter Bonnet Contest in Front of Respite Cappuccino Court. Participants will when line up for the parade and March to Beery Field for the Easter Egg Hunt. 48 W Center St, Douglas; 1p.m.
4/17 Monday: Bike Holland Ride Series in Downtown Holland- Bike Holland Ride the new & improved bike lanes in Holland! Celebrate the new Holland bike lanes with a ride! Bike rides will roll out from Centennial Park at 7pm and will last roughly 45 minutes at a very casual and social pace. All types of cyclists and bikes welcome. Helmets required. 250 Central Ave., Holland; 7pm; Free.
4/18 Tuesday: What’s invading my habitat? Living Sustainably Along the Lakeshore Monthly Event at the Herrick District Library- learn about local invasive plants, the effects they have on our native landscapes, and what is being done about and with them. 300 S River Ave, Holland; 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM. Free.
4/19 Wednesday: Cocktail Class: Cocktails from the Garden at New Holland Brewing Company Sidecar- New Holland presents Cocktails from the Garden! Join us as we prepare for Earth Day with lively, seasonal cocktails. Guests will receive expert instruction, delicious concoctions, and take-home recipe cards. 72 East Eighth Street, Holland; 7:00pm-8:00pm; $20/person.
4/20 Thursday: Jazz Gala Event at Park Theatre- Tickets are $25 each, silent auction, food, cash bar. Proceeds support Holland Band Parent Association. 248 S. River Ave, Holland; 7 PM.
4/21 Friday: Earth Day Recycled Crafts at Herrick District Library North Branch- For families at the Herrick District Library North Branch. Happy Earth Day! Come make your own recycled bird feeder, along with two other earth-friendly make-&-take crafts. Attendees will also get tips on how to live more sustainably at home from Living Sustainably Along the Lakeshore. In addition, you will be entered in a $50 raffle for a Jonkers Garden Center Gift Card. 155 Riley Street, Holland; 4:30pm; Free.
4/22 Saturday: Vintage Car Club of Holland “Drive Dutch” Dust Off Tour- Dust off your car and DRIVE DUTCH! Meet at Kollen Park – West lot. We will check out the tulips (will they be ready?), explore some Dutch history and have lunch at FRANK’S 50’s Diner in Zeeland. (cash or local checks only).
