HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The City of Holland reminds residents the deadline for filing a petition for city office is 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 25.
Petitions for Mayor and Council member-at-Large require not less than 60 signatures of qualified electors with at least 10 from each of the six wards of the city. Ward Council member petitions must bear the signatures of not less than 20 and not more then 40 qualified electors from the respective ward.
Allegan County Emergency Services Director Scott Corbin filed nominating petitions early Friday morning to run for Holland city council. He is seeking the Ward 5 seat now held by Todd Whiteman.
Nominating petition forms and supplemental information must be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall located at 270 River Avenue in Holland, The office is open from 8-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The election is November 7.
