HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The President of Zeeland based Inontime, Jon Lanning, has been named Small Business Person of the Year for the State of Michigan.
In November, Lanning was named Small Business Person of the Year by the West Coast Chamber of Commerce and that win elevated Lanning’s application into the statewide competition. The U.S. Small Business Association made the announcement this month that Lanning won for the state of Michigan.
Applicants were judged on the criteria of: staying power, financial performance, innovativeness, response to adversity, contributions to the communities, and advocacy for the advancement of small business.
Lanning will be recognized on May 4, 2017 at the 13th annual Michigan Celebrates Small Business awards event at The Lansing Center in Lansing. Several members of the West Coast Chamber of Commerce as well as business associates and partners of Lanning’s will be in attendance for the ceremony.
In addition to the awards in Lansing, Lanning will attend ceremonies in Washington, D.C on April 30 – May 1, and will be honored with his individual award along with recognition of the three runners-up and the naming of the 2017 National Small Business Person of the Year.
