HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – There’s a new tourist attraction that has come, just in the nick of time for the Tulip Time Festival, to downtown Holland.
It’s a six-foot fiberglass farmer’s wooden shoe which arrived on Wednesday from the Netherlands to the Holland Area Visitors Bureau’s offices, according to Executive Director Sally Laukitis. “It is authentic,” she said on “WHTC Morning News” today. “It is outside of the back of our office. People are welcome to swing by, climb in it, have their picture taken with it and taken in it!”
Two smaller wooden shoes that children can sit inside of were also delivered to the Bureau’s East 8th Street offices. Holland’s eight-day annual signature event kicks off on Saturday.
