GRAND RAPIDS. MI (WHTC) – A Freeze Warning is in effect for Ottawa and Allegan County from 10:00 p.m. Sunday evening until 9:00 a.m. Monday, May 8.
The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids says temperatures will fall to 25 to 30 degrees tonight. Another round of freezing temperatures is expected Monday evening into Tuesday, May 9.
Subfreezing temperatures will affect plants that are not protected. Potted plants normally left outdoors should be covered or brought inside from the cold.
The chilly winds Sunday has not stopped thousands from enjoying the 2017 Tulip Time Festival as the streets are packed with visitors from all over the world for the first full weekend of the festival.
