HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Michigan Department of Transportation will be working in the Grandville and Jenison area for two weeks with posted detours.
The ramp from westbound I-196 to westbound M-121 (Chicago Drive) will close at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 18, for approximately two weeks. The detour will have motorists exiting at Baldwin Street and taking Main Street to M-121 (Chicago Drive).
On Friday, May 21 starting at 7:00 p.m. there will be total closure from Main Street to the I-196 eastbound ramps. The following detours will be in place until Tuesday, May 23:
For WB M-121; Go south on Fairlanes Avenue, west on 36th Street, continue straight on Tyler Street, continue straight on Cottonwood Drive to M-121.
For EB M-121; Go south on Main Street and continue south on Kenowa Avenue, east on 36th Street and north on Canal Avenue to M-121.
For EB M-121 to WB I-196; Go south on Cottonwood Drive, continue straight on Tyler Street, south on Kenowa Avenue and east on 44th Street to the I-196 WB ramp.
