HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Tonight 244 students from Holland High School will receive their diplomas.
This year more students than ever received local scholarships at the Honors Convocation last week says College Advisor Celina Flegal. Flegal says this class is very close.
“They’re go-getters. They do not stop anything. They kind of just take what they want and are really motivated. They are just a sweet group of kids who are really funny and really fun to work with.”
85% of the Seniors will be going on to higher education says Flegal.
Commencement takes place at Devos Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. The guest speaker tonight is Mr. Jim DeBoer, long-time HPS music teacher, who retired last year to become a professor at Hope.
Like many area high schools, Holland High will have a supervised Senior all night party after the ceremony.
