HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Holland City Council will be studying the subject of study sessions tonight – during a study session.
How to make such non-business meetings more productive was a goal during this past February’s annual council retreat, and a time deadline set during last Wednesday’s session meant that council will pick up this evening where they left off on this topic. Some of the ideas thrown out for consideration include having no more than three items per session, each taking an hour’s time to discuss; avoiding last-minute surprises whenever possible; and providing a review timetable/calendar up front for items that are time sensitive.
Also during tonight’s work-study session, council will get an update on the proposed Windmill Island Gardens path and bridge connector project that has been stalled due to new federal bridge width requirements and foundational ground issues near the proposed northern end of the bridge in Holland Township.
Council’s work-study session begins at 5:30 PM in Holland City Hall.
