HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A Fennville teenager is out on bond and could spend the next ten years behind bars for allegedly hitting and dragging another teen with her car.
Seventeen-year-old Marie Louise Sims was arraigned by video on Tuesday, May 30th, with assault to do great bodily harm less than murder for the crime. Captain Mark Bennett with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says Sims backed over a 16-year-old girl during a fight early Monday morning near the intersection of Westwood Lane and 136th Avenue in Holland.
Judge Bradley Knoll set a $10,000 personal recognizance bond in Holland District court and Sims has been released pending further court proceedings.
The 16-year-old victim was seriously injured and sent to DeVos Children’s Hospital where she remains in serious condition.
