PARK TWP, MI (WHTC) – A three year old boy has died after being found at the bottom of a family pool in Park Township.
Monday afternoon, Kairo Klaasen was in his backyard playing with his parents who were close by when they became involved with another task and lost sight of the boy. After a short time, the parents searched for their son and found him at the bottom of the above-ground pool unresponsive. The child was retrieved and CPR was started.
Captain Mark Bennett says Ottawa County Paramedic Deputies and AMR Ambulance were dispatched to the 17000 block of 3rd Street at 2:06 p.m. The boy was then transported to Holland Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:05 p.m.
An investigation continues by the Sheriff’s Office.
