HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The City of Holland’s television crew have won a Regional EMMY®.
The 39th Annual EMMY® Awards took place over the weekend in Detroit and Eric Bruskotter and Kevin Lee won for their entry, “Memorial Day 2016” video in the category of Human Interest – News Single Story. The video takes you through the Memorial Day ceremony at Pilgrim Home Cemetery and highlights the over 1,000 flags that are put out every year.
The two were in competition with two television stations, WWTV/WWUP (CBS affiliate for northern Lower and eastern Upper Peninsula) and WXYZ (Detroit’s ABC affiliate) to win the prestigious award.
The City of Holland’s Public Television Team made a commitment to better connect with residents utilizing social media and broadcast content with the focus being on events, behind the scenes and human interest stories.
The Holland Cable TV team of 2 have also won 7 Telly awards.
