GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – The Grand Rapids Griffins will celebrate their Calder Cup victory Friday afternoon.
It will be packed downtown for the Calder Cup Parade that starts at 4:00 p.m. on the west side of Van Andel Arena.The parade will travel through downtown and end at Rosa Parks Circle for a rally. At the rally fans can watch highlights of Tuesday’s triumphant victory over the Syracuse Crunch. The team will give away 25-hundred championship T-shirts at the rally as well.
There are several closures downtown and the city of Grand Rapids is urging you to just avoid the area if you’re not attending the parade.
