GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC) – A Jamestown Township couple in their 40’s has been bound over for trial for allegedly offering two 16-year-old boys a thousand dollars each to have sex in a hotel room that would be put onto video.
Anuj and Leslie Chopra are charged separately on several human trafficking-related counts stemming from this and other incidents this past winter. Prosecutors claim that they became acquainted with the victims through their own 16-year-old daughter, who attends Hudsonville High School.
District Court Judge Judy Mulder made the decision to bound the Chopras over for trial on Tuesday after several preliminary hearing sessions. Anju Chopra remains held in the Ottawa County Jail on 250 thousand dollars bond, while Leslie Chopra is free on bond.
