GEORGETOWN TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – An eight-year-old Jenison boy has died as a result of a near drowning in a pool in Georgetown Township.
Ottawa County Sheriff Deputies were called to a residence in the Sunningdale Subdivision on Saturday, June 24, around 2:01 p.m. CPR had been started by bystanders and continued by Deputies and a paramedic from the Sheriff’s Office.
Sgt. Cal Kuening says Mekhi Davon Ivy was then transported by Life EMS to Devos Children’s Hospital in critical condition. On Sunday, June 25, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office was updated by the Kent County Medical Examiner’s Office that Mekhi had died as a result of the incident.
