HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The City of Holland has a new Interim City Manager as Ryan Cotten steps down from his duties as City Manager.
City Council made the decision to appoint Greg Robinson at their meeting on Wednesday, July 5. Robinson brings more than 30 years of experience of working for the City of Holland. He was the City’s first Downtown Manager, Planning & Development Manager, and Assistant City Manager for Soren Wolff for nearly 20 years. When Soren retired Greg became the Interim City Manager until Ryan Cotton was hired in 2012. Greg then worked as the Assistant City Manager with Ryan until 2014.
The contract for the Interim City Manager is for a 7-month term with the option of continuing on a month-to-month basis. Currently Greg is working 10-15 hours per week as the Manager for the West Michigan Airport Authority, and will continue working at the airport while he serves as Interim City Manager.
While Greg serves as Interim Manager, City Council will begin a nation-wide search for a new City Manager with the assistance of a consulting firm.
