7/16 Sunday: Coffee with a Candidate at Simpatico Coffee- Encouraging collaboration and partnerships between residents, business, non-profits, and faith based institutions will be the topic. Don’t hesitate to suggest any other! 8 AM – 10 AM; 714 Michigan Aveue, Holland; Free.
7/17 Monday: Bike Holland Series at Centennial Park- Come celebrate the new bike lanes in Holland and show your support for alternative transportation at the Bike Holland ride series this summer. Every 3rd Monday from April-August. Bike rides will roll out from Centennial Park (250 Central Ave Holland) at 7PM and will last roughly 45 minutes at a very casual and social pace. All types of cyclists and bikes welcome. Helmets are required. Post-ride get together at local restaurants will be announced. FREE ride. 250 Central Ave. Holland.
7/18 Tuesday: American Legion Concert Series at Kollen Park- Part of the Holland American Legion Band’s mission is to encourage young musicians, even those who do not plan a career in music. In addition to offering this award each year to one individual who plans a career in music, we strongly encourage all high school and college students who are performing in school bands during the year to join us during the summer for our series of 10 weekly concerts in the Henry P. Vander Linde Band Shell in Kollen Park. We have an hour rehearsal each week prior to the concert, and perform in the park from 7:30-8:30 p.m. We also encourage post-graduates of any age who still play or are just getting back into the enjoyment of playing an instrument to consider making the Holland American Legion Band a part of their activities. 240 Kollen Park Dr, Holland; 7:30 pm; Free.
7/19 Wednesday: 7th Annual Run for the Sun at Hope College- The Run for the Sun event is an opportunity for campers, counselors, donors, families, friends, and sponsors to join together in raising awareness and support for Camp Sunshine. 141 E 12th St, Holland; 6 PM – 9 PM.
7/20 Thursday: Street Performer Series- Musicians, caricature artists, face painters, jugglers, magicians and even aerial acrobats will entertain visitors strolling along the 8th Street. Enjoy the sights and sounds of street performers every Thursday evening while you’re out shopping and dining in Downtown Holland! Be on the look out for Holland Christian School’s Pop-Up school they might just “pop up” at the street performer series with fun and educational activities for kids on a Thursday night this Summer. 8th Street, Holland; 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm; Free.
7/21 Friday: Summer Concert Series at Kollen Park- he City of Holland Recreation Department is excited to announce that Meijer & The Stow Company will be sponsoring the summer concert series in 2017! The Summer Concerts at Kollen Park are one of the most popular spots to be on Friday evenings in the summer in Holland. From 6:30-8:30pm, the park comes alive with music and dancing. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic basket and enjoy the sounds of summer. Please have pets on a leash. Alcohol is prohibited at Kollen Park. July 21’s performer is Karizma.
7/22 Saturday: Blueberry Harvest Celebration at Bowerman Blueberries Farm Market- Bounce house, face painting, Park Township fire dept, and of course, all the blueberries you can eat! 15793 James St, Holland; 10 AM – 8 PM.
