ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – For 27 years they have been “pigging out” in Zeeland.
It’s the annual community picnic where the menu lends itself to pigging out with a pig roast and all the fixings. All profits from the “PIG OUT” will benefit the Zeeland Fire/Rescue Department.
Zeeland Firefighter Adam Valz says the money raised is used for their community education programs.
“When we do fire prevention at schools and that kind of thing, it gives us the supplies that we need. We’re gonna have bounce houses for the kids at the event, some face painting and things like that.
The band Niche will perform from 4-7 p.m.
The 27th annual PIG OUT is Thursday, July 20, from 11: a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Park in Zeeland. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
