GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A three-vehicle crash in Grand Haven Township sent a Muskegon Heights woman to the hospital.
Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene at US-31 north of Buchanan Street in front of the Admiral gas station. Sgt. Grenter says at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening, July 20, Elexis Williams was northbound on US-31 driving a 2008 Chrysler Sebring when witnesses say she moved to the right-side turn lane and then made an abrupt move back into the right hand lane.
This caused Williams to collide with a semi-freightliner driven by Robert Deruiter and a 2007 Nissan driven by Curtis Alofs of Norton Shores.
Williams was transported to North Ottawa Community Hospital for minor injuries. The other drivers were not injured in the crash.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
