HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A recent fundraiser with Governor Snyder and Daniela Garcia had MIRS News speculating that maybe State Rep. Garcia along with Joe Haveman of Hope Network and State Representative Roger Victory may run for Senate. West Olive Senator Arlan Meekoff’s term is up in 2018.
WHTC asked Garcia on Talk of the Town..and Garcia says her everyday focus is her constituents in the 90th district but didn’t rule it out.
“There are many people who are looking at at that position to make a determination in whether it’s a right fit or the right time to run for that seat. So it’s something that I will consider but have not made a decision as of yet. I have not set a timetable and again when we make a decision to run for office, it’s taking a temperature of our family, most importantly.”
Garcia says when it comes to running for office it’s what she can continue to do to serve the community that comes into play. She says there are still a lot of things she still has in the fire in terms of legislation.
