GRAND HAVEN TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Slick roads are to blame for a two-vehicle crash in Grand Haven Township.
Sgt. Matt Wilfong of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says the crash occurred at US-31 and Lake Michigan Drive around 8:34 p.m. on Thursday, August 17. 35-year-old Kenneth Strohm of Muskegon was driving south on US-31 in a 2004 Chevy Venture and was unable to stop at the red light due to wet road conditions after heavy rain in the area.
Strohm struck a 2017 Dodge Truck driven by 36-year-old Darnell Scrivy of Holton. Scrivy was injured in the crash and transported to North Ottawa Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Strohm was not injured in the crash and both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
