HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – This year’s Mayors Prayer Breakfast will highlight Holland’s deep religious influence.
Members from the local community are invited to join together for breakfast and pray along with Mayors Nancy DeBoer of Holland and Kevin Klynstra of Zeeland. Leaders from the police force, schools, businesses and churches will lead attendees in a time of prayer for the community.
Keynote address will be by Rev. Dr. Trygve Johnson. The Rev. Dr. Trygve Johnson has served as the Hinga-Boersma Dean of the Chapel since 2005. He leads and oversees the Hope Campus Ministries office, whose team of chaplains facilitates programs related to Christian formation. These include a voluntary chapel program as well as discipleship and mission opportunities.
The Mayors Prayer Breakfast was started in 2016 by a group of citizens passionate about the spiritual growth and unity of our community. Members of the planning committee serve as volunteers. The Mayors Prayer Breakfast will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Holland on September 21 from 7-9 a.m.
Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased online.
