GRAND HAVEN TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A Wyoming man is in stable condition after being hit while riding his moped in Grand Haven Township.
Sgt. Cal Keuning says deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office along with the Grand Haven Township Fire Department were dispatched to Robbins Road near Mitchell Street around 5:25 p.m. on Monday, August 28.
A moped driven by 40-year-old James Wolfiss was attempting to turn into a private drive off of Robbins Road. A vehicle driven by 34-year-old Angela Haynes of Allendale attempted to pass the moped and rear-ended it. Wolfiss was transported to North Ottawa Community Hospital in stable condition.
The incident remains under investigation and authorities did not say whether Wolfiss was wearing a helmet or not.
