ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Celebrate the local workforce with the Labor Day Truck Parade on Monday.
Local industries will be out in full force with 75 trucks this year in the parade. The Labor Day Truck Parade begins at 9:15 a.m. when area business and their vehicles will roll out of the Herman Miller Complex in Zeeland.
Jim Hutt is onthe parade committee and says you’ll see a little bit of everything.
“We have not only 18-wheelers but we’ll also have some straight jobs and drop decks I would expect. Flat beds, refrigerated van trailers and more.”
The fleet of vehicles will travel over seven miles through downtown Zeeland. From there the parade will head on westbound Chicago Drive then roll along 8th Avenue in downtown Holland. The last stop on the route is he Holland Civic Center.
Once at the Civic Center, the vehicles will be on display and a free ice cream social will take place. Area leaders will be on hand for a short program following the parade.
