PARK TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A Holland couple is in stable condition after being struck on their motorcycle.
Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Ottawa Beach Road and Oak Street around 3:55 p.m..Sunday afternoon in Park Township. Sgt. Brian Buter says 28-year-old Jorge Garcia of Holland was driving a 2005 Jeep eastbound on Ottawa Beach Road along with 60-year-old Steven Walker of Holland. Walker who was on a 1999 Hondo motorcycle had signaled for a right-handed turn onto Oak Street while Garcia was distracted and struck the motorcycle from behind.
Both Walker and his passenger Bernadette Walker were injured and transported to Holland Hospital in stable condition. Garcia was cited for a assured cleared distance violation and was not injured in the crash.
