HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Nestlings Diaper Bank of Holland provides diapers to low income families along the lakeshore.
One in three families, living at poverty level, struggle to diaper their babies and children. Diapers are a top requested item from agencies assisting low income families. Diapers and wipes along with personal care items are not provided by any government assistance programs according to Nestlings.
A Scavenger Hunt in October will benefit Nestlings.Teams will figure out clues to get to specific locations around the downtown Holland area. Once they reach their destination, a ticket will be provided and teams will have the opportunity to earn more tickets by completing challenges, tasks or puzzles. The team with the most tickets will win $1,000 in Meijer gift cards.
The hunt will start and end at Kollen Park in Holland on October 14. Registration is from 12-1 and the scavenger hunt will take place from 1-4 p.m. There will be a silent auction, treats, music and an awards ceremony from 4-6 p.m.
Teams of five people must have one person 18 or older and if you register by September 15, the cost is $100. $125 after September 15. Registration is online or the day of the event.
