PORT SHELDON TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 66-year-old Jenison man is in stable condition after his bicycle struck a vehicle.
Ottawa County Sheriff Deputies and Port Sheldon Fire Department were dispatched to the intersection of Stanton Street and 146th Avenue around 3:56 p.m. Sgt. Cal Kuening says Bruce Jabaay was biking westbound on Stanton Street at the intersection of 146th Avenue. A vehicle driven by 53-year-old Michelle Wilson of Zeeland was on 146th Avenue and started up in the intersection and went in front of Jabaay.
Jabaay who was wearing a helmet was unable to avoid Wilson’s vehicle and struck it. He was transported by Life EMS to North Ottawa Community Hospital in stable condition.
The incident remains under investigation.
