HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Hope College doesn’t not want a repeat of a year ago.
School Sports Information Director Alan Babbitt announced on Friday afternoon that, “due to the weather forecast,” the Homecoming football game between the Flying Dutchmen and visiting Adrian College at Ray and Sue Smith Stadium will begin at 4 PM on Saturday. This is two hours ahead of the original scheduled starting time of 6 PM. According to the Saturday evening forecast on WHTC.com & 927thevan.com, “Becoming windy with thunderstorms likely. Rainfall may reach one inch. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.”
Hope’s football game with visiting Olivet on October 1, 2016 was delayed for an hour late in the first half due to lightning concerns in the area.
This Saturday’s game can be heard, beginning at 3:40 PM, on the Lakeshore’s 92.7 The Van.
