HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Officers from the Holland Department of Public Safety (HDPS) responded to what they thought was a robbery in progress Tuesday afternoon.
Upon arrival at around 3:45 p.m. at Ockerlund Capital Wealth Management Group in the 500 block of West 17th Street in Holland, Officers were told that a subject was still inside the building. A perimeter was set up around the building and a HDPS K9 unit assisted. The subject was taken into custody without incident as he exited the building.
After questioning the witnesses, it was determined that due to the subject partially concealing his head and face, and his very unusual actions and statements, the employees believed they were about to be robbed, however a robbery did not occur. After questioning the subject, he was released.
There have been previous suspicious reports made to officers at other locations about this same subject.
