HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Dutch Winterfest in Holland kicks off Friday with all kinds of holiday activities from the tree lighting ceremony, Parade of Lights, Sinterklaas Eve events and the Holiday Kerstmarkt.
The open-air European style market will run through December 9th and is in it’s 19th year. Lee Ver Schure is a vendor with Westview Farms at the market and says they have 16 booths this year including the warming booth with a fire pit. It’s in the Civic Center parking lot in conjunction with the Holland Farmers Market. It runs Saturday 9-5 p.m.
“We have live potted Christmas trees or you can have a living tree that you can plant out or we have small ones that you put on table tops. We also feature in our booth, handmade local artisans. We have a tin smith friend that makes ornament and other things. I will be making wreaths as you wait.”
Food will also be available like pigs in a blanket, crepes, kettle corn, hot cider and cocoa.
