HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Online registration is now open for the Tulip Time Run on Saturday, May 5, at Kollen Park.
The run presented by MVP Athletic Club will give you the opportunity to run or walk through Holland’s tulip-lined streets. It’s an event for everyone with a 5K, 10K and Kids’ Fun Run and two new features for 2018. If you are running both the 5K and 10K, you will automatically be entered in the 15K results category eligible for medals and cash prizes.
A Tulip Time Virtual Run will take place for those who cannot make it to Tulip Time. You’ll be able to run a 5K or 10K in the comfort of your own hometown says Kara Rooks of Tulip Time.
“They pretty much receive all the races benefits. They will get a race shirt, a bib and a festival pin and all of that will be mailed to them. They can run in their own hometown and share photos with us by tagging us on social media. It allows a wider audiance to join the festival.”
All run participants will receive a race bib. Included with the race bib will be a complimentary gear check tag and a free beverage ticket, redeemable at the After-Party at Boatwerks Waterfront Restaurant. Registering before April 15 ensures runners a participant shirt and a personalized race bib featuring their name. Race results are available within seconds of crossing the finish line via email, onsite kiosks or by downloading the IgniteYourEvent app.
Packet Pickup and late registration will be available at the Race & Fitness Expo on Friday, May 4, from 4 7:00 p.m. at MVP Athletic Club, and on Saturday, May 5 at 7:00 a.m. at Kollen Park. The Race & Fitness Expo offers information, displays and giveaways from health and fitness companies.
The 5K will start at 8:00 a.m. and the 10K will start at 8:45 a.m. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age division (male and female). The Kids’ Fun Run will start at 9:15 a.m. in Kollen Park.
